Saudi Arabia offers 39 tonnes of dates to schools in Sudan


WFP in Sudan received 39 tons of dates, from Saudi Arabia, to be part of school meals for thousands of children in schools in South Kordofan State.
Saudi Ambassador Ali bin Hassan Jafar and representatives of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action handed over 39 tonnes of dates to the World Food Program (WFP) worth $ 94,000.
The program provides daily school meals and food rations to more than 27,000 children in 47 schools in all southern Kordofan states.
